The Vacancy

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Land Agent to join our Estates Team. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of traditional Land Agency, Rural Estates Management and Development Projects across the national portfolio.


The successful candidate will be tasked with effectively and efficiently managing, monitoring and maximising the value of the rural element of the national property portfolio including agricultural, residential and rural commercial properties.


Our ideal candidate will be commercially aware, have sound knowledge of UK and EU agricultural and land use regulations and have an excellent understanding of RICS regulations including code of conduct and ethical behaviour.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • MRICS or FAAV approved Degree Classification and working towards either MRICS or FAAV qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of UK agricultural, residential and commercial law, including planning law and access and rights over land.
  • Good understanding of commercial and environmental issues in the rural economy
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with people at all levels
  • Good analytical skills
  • Diplomatic approach and good negotiating skills
  • Ability to assess the economics of different land uses, crops and farming practices
  • Good IT skills, particularly for mapping projects
